What is the GED?
The General Educational Development Certificate (GED) offers individuals who did not finish high school the opportunity to earn high school credentials. More than 800,000 adults take GED tests each year. Over 90 percent of U.S. employers and colleges accept the GED in place of a traditional diploma. The GED requires a student to complete a battery of five (5) tests:

Language Arts/Writing and an Essay
Language Arts/ Reading
Math - two parts
Social Studies
Science

Who can take the GED?
The GED tests may be taken if you are at least 17 years of age. You must be a Colorado resident and present a valid picture identification at the time of testing.
