| Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Information
The Workforce Investment Act is a federally funded, voluntary program designed to help disadvantaged youth obtain financial support for education, employment and training. The funds are based on eligibility, and require the submission of a completed application with all required documentation and signed forms. Youth ages 16-21 can apply for this program if they meet at least one of these five eligibility requirements:
- Food Stamp Recipient (within last 6 months)
- Foster Child or Homeless (letter of proof)
- TANF/Public Assistance (currently receiving)
- Low Income (contact Youth Room for specific details)
- Individuals with a Disability (documentation within last year)
